At Balanced Viewpoint, researchers in the natural and social sciences work together to study shifts in centers of economic activity and its impacts on economic, political and social systems. They examine various systems' capacity for withstanding human interventions and devise strategies for a sustainable development of humankind within a finite ecological universe.
Balanced Viewpoint research projects are interdisciplinary and undertaken by analysts using data analysis, computer simulations and models, providing decision makers with sound information and tools for sustainable development. In addition to publishing results in academic journals and popular media, Balanced Viewpoint gives advice to private corporations, national and regional authorities and, increasingly, to global organizations.
Balanced Viewpoint is part of a global network on questions of global economic change. We closely collaborate with international partners and are developing, together with researchers in the U.S, the U.K, Europe and South America, a global perspective of sustainability of the macroeconomic factors, environmental and social issues, and business and industry developments that will all profoundly shape the corporate landscape in the coming years.
Balanced Viewpoint conducts research on a range of topics from productivity to government regulations to worldsourcing across the technology industry sector. Balanced Viewpoint’s current research agenda builds on the challenges of economic growth sustainability, with the objective of determining the relationship between the emerging global trade frontier and the risks in its development.
A number of research projects are currently underway:
Balanced Viewpoint research also comprises interconnected developments across a range of disciplines, including artificial intelligence in decision making; complexity systems; advanced interface design; innovation in organization design; avatars as collaboration interfaces; and new approaches to enterprise management systems.
