Dr. Charles H. Davis works in the area of innovation management and policy, with emphasis on ICTs and media. He holds the Edwards S. Rogers Sr. Chair in Media Management and Entrepreneurship and is a professor in the School of Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he teaches courses in media management and political economy. His current research interests have to do with entrepreneurship and new firm formation in media industries, media-related innovation clusters in urban regions, work cultures and practices - especially in "creative" or cultural industries, and political economy of media industries. Dr. Davis holds a B.A. from Kalamazoo College (Michigan), an M.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal. He is the author or co-author of approximately one hundred refereed papers or chapters. Before joining Ryerson, Dr. Davis held the NSERC-SSHRC-NB Power-Xerox Research Chair in the Management of Technological Change at the University of New Brunswick.
